Junior Entrepreneur Awards

2018/19:

Ranganna 5 agus 6 set up a fantastic business , selling personalised greeting frames: ‘Name in a Frame’. This winning project required artistic flair and design, using handmade miniature decorations and thousands of scrabble pieces. The frames  were sold from Christmas to Easter. Well done to all the children and their enthusiastic teachers: Ms Gillian and Mr Paul. Sean Kelly MEP presented the classes with their medals and helped hoist our flag.

2017/18:

Rang 6  were busy beavers throughout the winter months designing and assembling. Mr Paul’s Sixth Class were like night-elves! Their project involved hard and persistent graft as they painstakingly made cuboid puzzles. Again, the whole school community got behind them and they donated some of their profits to ‘ Make a Wish Foundation’. They were really popular and required a high degree of manufacturing skill. Well done, one and all.

2016/17:

Ms Caroline and Ms Gillian were so proud of Sixth Class (2016/17)as they proved yet again that they were a talented and almost invincible bunch! The winning project “Wood You Buy It?” sold so well . They were barely able to keep up with the orders. Well done to all.

Previously in 2015/16, 6th class undertook the Junior Entrepreneur program(JEP), for the first time.
Pupils engaged with real-life math skills as they undertook Data collection, Problem Solving and understanding of Profit and Loss.
Collaborative skills and Teamwork are an integral part of this programme.
