Grandparents’ Day- Simply the Best!

Our Grandparents and parents arrived in their droves;some had travelled from other counties. The excitement was palpable and barely containable as we filled the hall, yet ALL the children made us so proud. A mass St Blaise blessing of our throats, by Fr Poitr and hundreds of St Brigid Crosses reminded us of how blessed we all are!Click ‘Read More’ for pics. The songs and prayers were very well received, as were the teas and scones baked by Third Class. I really want to thank Sixth Class for welcoming our VIPs so warmly, the Fifth Class group who cleaned and dried the red chairs during their breaks, our LS teachers for serving ( and adorning) so many scones and teas, Fr Poitr for welcoming our Polish visitors and all, Noreen, Caroline and Carol (our hardworking parents), SNAs for magically clearing and restoring equipment in hall, the kids for their wonderful art and poems, the teachers for their motivation and ‘can do’ attitude, Ms Claire for pulling it all together and again…. the kids! Lastly,đź‘Ťto all our grannies, granddads and parents (your presence and support means alot to staff and children). MĂle buĂochas daoibh go lĂ©ir.
