🎄Nollaig Shona!🎄

2017 closed with a busy bang! Thanks to all the boys and girls for keeping us on our toes. Our Christmas Morning Coffee event, Carol Service and Santa Dash made for great fun. School Attendance for Nov/Dec was celebrated (96% average!) and parents have distributed the 2018 calendars and DVDs in perfect time. Thanks to our parents and elves. The staff wish you all a peaceful Christmas with best wishes for the New Year. Croí-bhuíoch daoibh go léir. Don’t forget to check today’s email for more details of recent days. Slán agus Beannacht.

Sixth Class wrapped the food donations for people in need locally.

Thank you Paul and Jen and Gemma for organising this so quickly, with special 👍to all our parents.

Incredible cooking and baking!

Hungry and generous crowds 🍰

The best ‘crooners’ in town!

Our ‘forever faithfuls’!🌟🌟

200 Santas ran, dashed, swerved and conceded as they were chased by the Active Committee and two energetic teachers. Well done! The kids loved it!

Christmas Creativity.

It’s great to see the classrooms, corridors and streets filling with festive art, crafts and carols! Take a look at these pics of the Jun Infant chimney. Paudie and Samantha Sugrue donated a beautiful noble fir to the school…thank you!Third and Fifth Class carolers helped raise funds forlocal charities. Well done!

Wonderful singers!

Friday 8th Dec. singing near the Mall, in town.

Bhí an sráid maisithe le soilse ildaite agus bhaineamar an-taitneamh as an
t-atmaisféar Nollag.

We are keeping this chimney very clean!

Tress from Ms Gillian’s afterschool Christmas Club! (Made from wooden pallets!!)

Beautiful felt outfits for Mr and Mrs Claus, from Rang a hAon

Some of the Claus family! Incredible detail from First Claus!

You probably can’t see from this photo, but each child in Sen Infants joined their paper trees together to make one HUGE tree🎄

Yes, penguins can sing!

Fourth Class wreaths and paintings. Ar fheabhas!

Well done,to all the artists in Fourth Class. Symmetry and Positive/Negative cutting with scissors. Tá súil againn go dtiocfaidh sneachta, go luath!

Fifth Class are looking forward to a Hawaiian Christmas. (2007….16°C on Christmas Day!)

Our Junior Rudolfs are mastering scissors skills!

These paintings from Fifth are stunning. Standing 20m away the moons seem to pulsate, due to the gradual shading from the milky white light. Féach ar an brat bán sneachta ar an talamh agus na gealaigh ag taitneamh. Nach bhfuil na pictiúirí seo go hâlainn ar fad?

Senior Infants glued their snowmen sticks together and they were thrilled to show them off⛄

This is a photo of the huge Sugrue tree at night after our P.Assoc meeting. Míle buíochas do Pháidí agus Samantha. Is breá linn an crann Nollag seo. ♥️🎄♥️

‘Wonder’ : Great book!

We shared 40 copies of the book ‘Wonder’ and nearly all of Fifth and Sixth Class have read it by now, just in time for the film release. So we are heading to the Omniplex next Thursday. 3.55pm-6.10pm. CAN’T WAIT!

We bought 40copies on the recommendation of a few children in the senior Classes. 10/10. It is both a funny and emotionally challenging book. It can be very sad in parts. Omniplex:€6 per child

Last Day of November.

We prayed for the Holy Souls yesterday. Fr Dan led the service and prayers with Ranganna 2,3,4,5,6. They filled little Memory Boxes with names of their loved ones. May they rest in peace.
