Caherleaheen wins ‘Best School Trophy’ 🏆at Tralee Schools Athletics.

The event kicked off at 6 pm, with hundreds of children and parents attending from local primary schools. Everyone participated: 60m,80m,100m,200m,600m races, turbo javelin, long jump and shot put. For the Grand Finale there were 6 incredibly exciting relay competitions. Caherleaheen won a medal in all 6 relay races: 2 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze. When the points were added up, after all our wins, we were awarded the Cup.Cheers and tears of joy as we did the lap of honour around the field! Many, many thanks to the Extraordinary Harriers Co-ordinating Team, led by John Griffin.

Aistear: Caherleaheen’s Travel Agency.

I have to say that the service which I got in the Senior Infant’s Travel Agency was as good as one can get! I have booked a holiday in Spain AND they even printed my Boarding Pass. Luckily for me, they spotted that my passport was out of date, so I will have to send it to Cork to have it renewed. The Agency will be relocating to the Junior Infant room next week.

Achievements Deserving of Recognition and 👍👏.

It can be difficult to keep up with so many varied achievements, be they in sport or the arts. These endeavours and interests help children to develop social skills, make new friends and equip them for future years. Participation is key! Enjoyment is the spare key! Success and disappointment are part and parcel of participation. Here are just a few pics of those who enjoyed success these last few weeks. How? They participated and worked hard at their sport/craft/skill.

Spar FAI Munster Final.Tues. 8th

Six counties battled it out today. Caherleaheen represented Kerry and certainly did the county and our school proud. We won one game(Waterford) but lost two (Cork and Tipp). Cork were a class team and took the title. They will represent Munster at the Aviva Stadium. We wish them the best of luck! Many thanks to our 8 soccer stars: Seán Moynihan, Bobby Byrne, Darragh Cunnane, Cathal Murphy, Ryan McMahon, Jesse O’Reilly, Ben Callinan and Seán-Óg Brosnan. Mr Paul and Damien are immensely proud of our 8 players as are all the supporters who turned up today and roared them on. It was a lovely sunny, blustery day and the FAI organisers should be proud- it was a fabulous display of soccer skills from the six counties, especially Caherleaheen, Co Kerry!👍👍
